End of the year musings
As we approach the end of the year, and the end of Chapter 1 I’ve been doing a lot of involuntary reflection. For me that tends to vacillate between being OK with my work and hating it to pieces. There have been several times over the course of the last year that I’ve trashed a page I’ve been working on because I’ve become so fed up with it.
Don’t get me wrong, I said from the beginning this was going to be a learning process and it has been. And I am definitely faster than I used to be. I’ve had a couple of instances now where my time constraints have had me literally start a page on Sunday morning. They aren’t the best caliber of my work but they make deadline… which I think is what my new years resolution will be this year… (last year it was to update this comic weekly for the whole year) but my goal shall be, I think, to develop consistency in the quality of my work. A good deal of this will be time management of course.
So I’m planning a little thanks for those of you who have been here since the beginning and stuck around. Starting on Christmas day, we will enter Anniversary Week. Daily updates from 12/25 – 01/01. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!
